This 100% Saperavi from Georgia’s Kakheti region shows a deep ruby-red color and a rich bouquet of blackcurrants, spices and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is compact, spicy and juicy, with a lively character and a fine, ripe finish.
The wine is crafted by Nugzar Ksovreli of Kakheti Wine Company, in collaboration with Swiss winemaker Thierry Fontannaz, who was inspired by the centuries-old Georgian winemaking traditions. From this fascination, the iconic Bedoba was born, a wine that combines heritage with modern finesse.
The estate’s cellars date back to 1533, when traditional Kakheti wines were first produced and sold here. The vineyards, located north of the Alazani River at 400 meters above sea level, form the foundation for this expressive and authentic wine.
