The small 5-hectare vineyard of Château Trocard is located in Lussac-Saint-Émilion.
It’s classified as a Bordeaux Supérieur because the vineyard lies just outside the appellation boundaries, and because owner Jean-Louis Trocard boldly chose to plant 100% merlot (since 1982).
Le Préferé de Katty 2022 is styled like a young Pomerol, with fruit that's just a bit rounder and fuller.

It starts with a sensual perfume that’s usually reserved for wines of great pedigree.
On the palate: plenty of black cherries, blackberries, and cassis, complemented by a subtle hint of incense and juniper.
It’s already irresistibly tasty now, and will only get better over the next few years.
