Since its acquisition by the De Colbert family in 2019, Château de la Commanderie has undergone a modern transformation in both presentation and winemaking. While the iconic label was updated, the wine continues to come from the same vineyards with the same Merlot-driven blend and traditional methods.
The 2023 vintage is elegant and refined, with notes of ripe cherry, red berries, and subtle oak vanilla. On the palate, it's smooth and silky, with a warm, rounded finish. A classic Bordeaux with a contemporary twist.
“The ‘new’ Château de la Commanderie 2023 proudly carries on the estate’s long-standing quality. Under Karine and Jean de Colbert’s leadership, major investments have gone into sustainable viticulture. While the label has evolved, the wine remains true to its rich heritage: elegant, fruit-forward and full of character.”
