Château Sissan Grande Réserve 2022 is an expressive and elegant red Bordeaux from the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, located southeast of the city of Bordeaux. The vineyards lie on sunny slopes with gravel and clay soils, giving the wine its structure and depth.
The blend is mainly Merlot (around 80%), complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, offering both roundness and strength. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby color with an enticing bouquet of ripe blackcurrant, cherry, plum, and subtle hints of vanilla, spice, and cocoa.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Ripe dark fruit is supported by elegant, velvety tannins and a fresh acidity that adds vibrancy. The finish is long and harmonious, with pleasant notes of oak and gentle spice.
The 2022 vintage has been praised for its concentration, finesse, and balance – a wine that is already delightful to drink but also has excellent aging potential for several more years.
Perfect with red meats, lamb, game, or semi-hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18 °C for optimal enjoyment.
