Michel Juillot Mercurey Les Vignes de Maillonge Blanc 2023 is an elegant white Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise, crafted from Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone and marl soils that contribute to its ripe fruit character and mineral drive. The wine shows a clear, light golden hue and opens with aromas of citrus, green apple, pear and delicate acacia blossom, with subtle hints of oak and toast from barrel ageing.
On the palate it is medium-bodied, refined and well-balanced, with good depth and length and a fresh, lingering finish. Barrel maturation adds structure and complexity to the flavour profile.
Serve this Mercurey Blanc at around 11–13 °C with rich fish like salmon or tuna, shellfish, pasta dishes, charcuterie or mild cheeses.
The wine has an ageing potential of about 4–6 years from vintage.
