This exceptional white wine from the heart of Priorat shines with a pale-yellow color and golden highlights. The nose reveals ripe white fruit, apricot and fresh citrus notes, refined with a subtle floral touch. Oak ageing adds creamy and nutty nuances.
On the palate, flavors of pear and apple appear, alongside hints of roasted almond and vanilla. The wine has a silky texture, a pronounced minerality thanks to the typical llicorella slate soil, and a long, lightly saline finish.
The grapes come from old vineyards up to 40 years of age, located on the steep slopes surrounding the villages of Gratallops, El Lloar, La Vilella Baixa and La Vilella Alta. The vines benefit from the Mediterranean climate and unique terroir conditions. Vinification is carefully managed: hand harvesting, fermentation in stainless steel, followed by 6 months of ageing in oak barrels on fine lees (sur lie) for added depth and complexity.
Founded in 1917 as a cooperative of four villages, Vinícola del Priorat unites 140 families managing more than 210 hectares. Their philosophy combines tradition, sustainability and modern techniques, with respect for nature and terroir. As a result, their wines are among the most highly regarded in the region.
This wine is a versatile companion, pairing beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish, creamy pasta dishes and refined cheeses.
