An expressive and characterful red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero in Spain, made from 100% Tinto Fino, the local variant of Tempranillo. Casa Rojo CL98 2024 comes from old vineyards around Castrillo de la Vega, situated at approximately 800 metres above sea level, beautifully combining the power and freshness for which this renowned Spanish wine region is known.
The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit, cherries and red fruit compote, complemented by delicate notes of thyme and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, round and juicy, with beautifully integrated tannins and refreshing acidity that perfectly balances the ripe fruit. The finish is long and fresh, with subtle herbal and savoury notes.
A versatile red wine and an excellent match for grilled red meat, lamb, slow-cooked dishes, charcuterie and mature cheeses.
