Royal City Syrah is the iconic flagship wine of K Vintners, sourced from the renowned Stoneridge Vineyard in Washington State's Columbia Valley. This exceptional Syrah ranks among America's finest wines and is celebrated for its remarkable concentration, elegance and outstanding ageing potential.
In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby colour with an almost opaque core. The complex bouquet opens with intense aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and ripe plums, followed by refined notes of black pepper, graphite, black olives, violets, smoked meat and subtle hints of toast, cocoa and mocha derived from ageing in French oak barrels.
The palate is rich, layered and full-bodied, supported by ripe tannins and a beautiful balance between concentrated dark fruit, spice and vibrant acidity. The long, silky finish reveals lingering nuances of spices, minerality and elegant smokiness.
An outstanding companion to grilled beef, lamb, game dishes, slow-cooked stews and mature hard cheeses. Decant for approximately one hour before serving to fully express its aromatic complexity.
